Upcoming Missions & Updates

Greetings JMP Family & Friends

We stand with you in this heartbreaking time following the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene in September 2024. The storm has left the southern states of Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina with massive destruction and a profound sense of loss. We call upon the name of Jesus for guidance and strength, especially in the search for so many family members and individuals who have yet to be found this week.

Lord Jesus, we lift up all those impacted by Hurricane Helene. Bring comfort to the grieving, healing to the injured, and hope to the hopeless. Guide JPM as we serve in this difficult season. May every act of relief be a reflection of Your love and grace. Strengthen first responders, and let Your presence be felt in every effort to restore these communities.

We trust in Your power to bring beauty from the ashes. Thank You for the opportunity to serve in Your name. May we rise each day renewed in Spirit, ready to share Your hope and love.

Amen.

JPM’s History of Disaster Relief Efforts

JPM has been serving in Disaster Relief since Hurricane Hugo hit South Carolina in the late 80s. We understand that recovery from such a magnitude of destruction and terror will take years. Through our experience, we have learned that maintaining a steady pace is more effective than sprinting through these long, intentional recovery phases.

At this moment, first responders and the National Guard are working tirelessly on the frontlines. Please keep them in your prayers now and in the coming weeks, as their work is incredibly dangerous.

We are also blessed to have support from people like Crystal and Scott Rupe, Patty and Coach Seeger, Pastor Fatima and Kendal Hays, Hannah Beth, Cathy, and Al White, who have already helped direct & bring several tons of food to the regions of Newport, TN, and Boone, NC. Thank God for brothers and sisters who live what they speak and do what they say!

Upcoming Mission Projects

October 2024 - Tecate, Mexico & Montana Blackfeet Project
Starting October 2nd, JPM will head to Tecate, Mexico, for a week of service, followed by a mission in Montana on October 12th to support a large building project and share the love of Jesus with students and teachers. Though it’s difficult to leave our beloved southern states in their time of need, the Lord has given us peace to continue serving where we are called. We believe the opportunities to serve the hurricane-impacted communities will still be there when we return, as recovery is a long journey.

I want you to know—Mexico/Tecate is important, and the Montana Blackfeet Project is just as important as any project. That’s why I'm going there instead of heading north. It’s tough to say, but the situation will still be there when I return and will remain for a long time. For this reason, we have time to serve. JPM has a desire to be involved in many projects from now until Christmas, and we truly need your prayers. Please pray for a miracle, because a miracle is needed for JPM to meet the growing needs we are facing.

Jesus is able. Jesus is enough.
Amen, Amen, Amen.

December 2024 - Christmas Relief & Gatlinburg Christmas Project
JPM will use your generous donations to purchase food and Christmas gifts for families in need. After the Gatlinburg Christmas Project, we will distribute these items in the Tri-Cities, TN, and Boone, NC, areas. This project began in 2016, following the Sevier County wildfires, and has continued every year since because the need remains. We’re committed to providing support and joy to these communities during the holiday season.

We have a desire to be a part of many projects from now until Christmas, but we need your prayers. Please pray for a miracle, because a miracle is needed for JPM to accomplish the now larger needs that are present.

JPM Helene Christmas Project
JPM has finalized our schedule and is preparing to support as many families in need as possible this Christmas season. Each family will be blessed with $100 AE/MC gift cards for every member of their household. If you know families in need, please reach out through our website. This year, JPM is committed to focusing on where the need is greatest.

How You Can Help

If you feel called to support these mission efforts, please visit our website. There, you can sign up to volunteer, make a donation (several options available), or find other ways to get involved this December 2024.

We thank you for your hearts and your generosity in Jesus to give and bless others. Our celebration of EMMANUEL is powerful with what we do in this season and why we do it. Please pray for a miracle, as one is needed for JPM to accomplish the now larger needs that are present.

Pray With Us

God in Heaven, You are our refuge and strength in times of trouble. We lift up those impacted by Hurricane Helene and ask for Your comfort and peace over the brokenhearted. Lord, guide us as we serve those in need and be present in our efforts to bring hope and relief to these communities. May Your love and provision flow through us as we support those who are struggling. Help us remember that You are near to the suffering, and that Your light shines brightest in the darkest of times. We trust in Your goodness and faithfulness.

Continuously praying God’s grace and restoration over these communities,

Amen.

Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day.
