βGo therefore and make disciples
of all the nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all things
that I have commanded you;
and lo, I am with you always,
even to the end of the age.β
Matthew 28:19-20

Joey describes his first experience
at Blackfeet Reservation:
βOur recent travels to the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana were, in a word: heavy. There is a great spirit of hopelessness all throughout the reservation.
This heaviness is so burdensome and feels too overwhelming to tackle. But it isnβt our job to be the hope. Itβs our job to BRING the hope!
We must be obedient in doing what we can do and give God the glory for all He can and will do!β
8 Be alert & of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
1 Peter 5:8-9
how can we help
Blackfeet Nation?
One BIG thing we can all do right now is PRAY. Do not underestimate the power of prayer. We ask you to pause and pray for the children of the Blackfeet Tribe as they face:
Malnourishment and Undernourishment
A lack of clean water for bathing and drinking
A lack of opportunity for education
This is the case and the norm for thousands of children on reservations. Pray for the spirit of Hope to penetrate the hopeless and lawless nature of this region! Pray for God to make a way!
Through JPM partners, we are able to begin to meet some of the basic needs of the children and families of Blackfeet Nation.
